The New York eTROPHY race brings the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY to a close, with a double-header in the Big Apple.
The Brooklyn Street Circuit hosted the first motor racing event in New York City in over 60 years when Formula E first visited the city in 2017. The 1.95km track is located in the Red Hook area of Brooklyn on the site of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
Round 9 of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY Championship will take place on 13th July at 14:00 local time (19:00 GMT).
But there’s lots of eTROPHY action before the race too! Here are the key times for all the weekend’s action:
12th July – Shakedown – 14:00 EST (19:00 GMT)
13th July – Free Practice – 16:30 CET (21:30 GMT)
13th July – Qualifying – 08:35 CET (13:35 GMT)
How can I watch?
What to look for?
The Brooklyn Street Circuit is defined by long straights running between incredibly tight corners, but it is perhaps T5 that offers the greatest hidden potential. The fast sweeping left-hander that leads onto the main straight (the finish line is separate and comes before T1) has already claimed a few cars in previous race events, as the camber pushes the car to the outside and into an unforgiving concrete wall.
Away from the track, look across the water to the Statue of Liberty off to the left, and downtown Manhattan to the right, providing a spectacle backdrop to the event.
